This is for the ones who look fine.

The achievers. The providers. The dependable ones. The people carrying something heavy behind a face that gives nothing away.

Book One

Some chains are invisible.
They can still last a lifetime.

Planned release Digital edition: late 2026
Print edition: March 2027

Unshackled is the true story of a boy harmed by someone he loved, and the man who spent half a century performing wholeness while privately carrying a wound he could not name.

It is honest about the harm—and equally honest about the love that lived in the same house. It follows one man through achievement, marriage, fatherhood, reckoning and forgiveness, until he finally returns for the child still waiting within him.

This is not a book about blame. It is about ending what must end, keeping what is loving, and discovering what becomes possible when truth is finally met with grace.

“The child I left behind is no longer waiting. He is free.”

Across oceans. Across generations. Home is still possible.

Unshackled Stewards was born from a Filipino story, shaped between the Philippines and New Zealand, and written with every human heart in mind.

Many of us learn to endure, provide and keep moving. We build good lives far from where we began. Yet the deepest journey is often the one that leads us back—to our truth, our relationships, our purpose and the life entrusted to us.

This is a welcoming home for those conversations: culturally warm, spiritually open, practical, and never limited by nationality.

The wider mission

Freedom is not the end of the journey.
It is the beginning of stewardship.

The first book opens the door. What follows will help people live more deliberately—in the three arenas that shape so much of life.

01 · MONEY

Personal finance with meaning.

Practical financial literacy that replaces anxiety with clarity, direction and responsible choice—because money is a tool, not the owner of your life.

Clarity · Protection · Freedom
02 · RELATIONSHIPS

Love without the hidden weight.

Conversations about marriage, family, communication, forgiveness, boundaries and the courage to become fully present to the people who matter.

Awareness · Connection · Grace
03 · GROWTH

Transformation that becomes a life.

Personal development grounded in truth and action—not performance. The work of coming home to yourself, then using your freedom to serve.

Truth · Purpose · Contribution

Forthcoming

Rex Yap speaking at the Prosper Summit

Author · Speaker · Financial literacy advocate

Meet Rex Yap.

Rex has spent more than three decades helping families build stronger financial foundations, first in the Philippines and later in New Zealand. His advocacy is simple: Proper Stewardship Through Financial Literacy.

But the work has always been larger than money. Rex writes and speaks about the whole person—the wounds we carry, the relationships we shape, the stories we inherit and the choices that can finally set us free.

He is a husband to Joan, father of five, lifelong student of transformation, and a firm believer that it is never too late to tell the truth, come home to yourself and live fully.

A fellow pilgrim, sharing what the road has taught him.

Kumusta? Come walk with us.

Your life is still waiting for the whole of you.
